Belridge Secondary College's First XI won the toss and elected to bat first in the Kim Hughes Shield grand final. A great contribution from everyone saw the team to an emphatic total of 300 off their 50 overs.

Outstanding efforts from Kyle Whitehurst (64) and Fred Mare (47) and Cory Bradnam (46*) helped post a huge total for St Mary McKillop to chase. A great start from Belridge with the ball put the pressure on St Mary, having them 5-50 after 15 overs with Callum Morrell taking 4 wickets. A consolation hundred from Fraser Oates, St Mary's captain saw his team reach the 150 mark before being bowled out for 161.

A superb effort from all Belridge players for a well deserved win.  Special mention to Oran Pattison, who's leadership throughout the season was truly inspirational.
