Student Leadership
The Student Council is a group of students, elected from Years 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12 by their peers, to represent their interests within the school community. Students are encouraged to present their views, ideas and visions for the school, to their year representatives who bring them to the weekly meetings for discussion. The teacher representative then brings these ideas to the Administration for approval, before they are put into action.
The Student Council actively promotes school improvement, gathers student opinion and voice, hosts school events and guests, assists with whole school programs and holds fundraising events for charity organisations, such as Footy Colours Day for kids with cancer.
The Student Councillors are regularly invited to represent the school at local functions, and are offered the opportunity to attend leadership training courses, local youth conferences and forums throughout the year.
